The piece
An iconic form. Sculptural in proportion, anchoring in scale.
The Snap arrived in the studio as a study in scale. How tall could a single silhouette be before it stopped reading as occasional? A fiberglass shell, hand-laid in Rochester, would carry the weight; a high-gloss lacquer would hold the proportion's edges in light.
What you're looking at is the result of two decisions held over time. First: that the lacquer should be mixed by hand, in seven house tones, so that no two Snaps in the same room would compete for color. Second: that the wood veneer top, White Oak or Walnut, would sit just slightly proud of the base, the way a stone sits on a hand. Both choices are why a Snap built in 2022 looks like a Snap built in 2026.
The Snap is sized for the room you actually live in: 16.5 inches across, 26.75 inches tall, 40 pounds. It seats a single ceramic, a glass of natural wine, the morning's reading. Order a swatch first; it's harder than it sounds to imagine high-gloss in a room until you've held it in your own light.
